Pleisiosaur tooth

A plesiosaur was a prehistoric, air-breathing marine reptile that ruled the global oceans during the Mesozoic Era, living from the Late Triassic to the Late Cretaceous period (around 220 to 66 million years ago). Though often mistaken for dinosaurs, plesiosaurs belong to a completely separate group of aquatic reptiles adapted for life in the open ocean, famously cruising the water using four massive, wing-like flippers.
