Hackmanite is an incredibly rare and magical variety of sodalite that is famous for its "chameleon" ability to change colors when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) light. It is one of the very few minerals on Earth that exhibits a mind-blowing trick called tenebrescence—meaning it changes color back and forth without damaging the stone.
