Spodumene is a pyroxene mineral that forms in large, lithium-heavy rock deposits known as pegmatites. In its pure form, it is completely colorless. However, tiny traces of different mineral impurities cause it to grow in vibrant colors:
Kunzite: Infused with trace amounts of manganese, turning the stone pink, lilac, or light purple.
